Our children's jujitsu program offers little ones a healthy activity and emphasizes traditional values, including respect, honesty and perseverence. Led by a certified teacher with decades of experience leading children's martial arts classes.
Our children's jujitsu class offers kids a healthy, productive outlet for their energy. Children participate in fun workouts that help develop their balance, coordination and strength, learning basic gymnastic skills including rolling, safe ways to fall, throws, punching and kicking. Children are also offered the opportunity to participate in competitions and other events.
We offer different classes. Junior classes are for children in kindegarden through 2nd grade. Intermediate classes are for children in 3rd through 8th grade.
Most importantly, students learn how to avoid possibly unsafe situations, as well as simple, but effective self defense skills.
While the class emphasizes traditional values, including respect for others, honesty and responsibility, it is not taught in the strict fashion typical of a traditional school. This class is led by Shihan John McGraugh, who has decades of experience in teaching children's martial arts classes. In addition, Shihan McGraugh is a certified teacher with the Tucson public school system.
In addition to our children's jujitsu class, we also offer a Little Dragons program for children interested in karate. For families looking to share an activity, we also offer a Family Jujitsu class.
Many martial arts schools lock you into contracts for 6 months or a year. We don't. There is only a very low month-to-month rate - one of the most affordable in Tucson!
If you'd like to share the martial arts as an activity with your children, we offer a family jujitsu class, with a special discount rate!
